£58,000 of debt - but can't do an IVA.
| Debt: £58,000 | Was paying: £1267/month |
| Now paying: £300/month | |
| Client has £200,000 equity in his home & unsecured debts of £58,000.
His assets are more than his debts, but he can't pay 11 creditors from a monthly income of £1,060. An IVA is not possible as his creditors would never agreed to forgive any debt when he could repay them in full by selling his property. The client does not want to remortage as he has recently become self employed and does not want to risk his home if that does not go to plan. Debt management will never pay off this debt, but it gives our client some respite from his creditors while he focuses on building his business without the fear or court action or losing his home. static link to this case study: DMCaseStudy100.asp |

3 Random Q&A's from the database:-
1. Do you need to do a credit check on me ?
No. We do not lend you any money, therefore we do not need to credit check you.2. Why does My bank says you have not contacted them, but you say you have?
Staff working for a debt collection agency or in the collections department of your bank or credit card company exist solely to get money out of you. Some will use underhand tactics to achieve this as their pay is performance related.Once they acknowledge we are dealing with the finances, they know they have to negotiate through us, so they attempt to delay this acknowledgement.
Some may claim they have not heard from us to give the impression we are not doing our job property in hope this makes you cancel the agreement with us. If this happens, try and get the name of the person you have been speaking to. Inform them that we are dealing with your affairs, contact us immediately and we will then issue a further copy of correspondence to them.
3. Will the plan prevent my creditors taking further recovery action?
We cannot guarantee that your creditors will not take further action, including court action to recover debts from you but. If they do, we will help you respond so that any repayment that is required is within your ability to repay.[Nottingham] [Belfast] [Scotland] [West Sussex] [Ilse of Wight] [Gwent] [Bedfordshire] [Norfolk] [Essex] [Wales] [Cumbria] [Manchester] [Gloucestershire] [Cleveland] [Clwyd] [Birmingham] [Staffordshire] [West Yorkshire] [Leeds] [Hamshire] [Cambridgeshire] [Oxfordshire] [Tyne and Wear] [Stoke-on-Trent] [Wolverhampton] Debt Management Alfreton, Debt Management Ashbourne, Debt Management Bakewell, Debt Management Barlborough, Debt Management Baslow, Debt Management Braunton, Debt Management Castle Donington, Debt Management Castleton, Debt Management Chesterfield, Debt Management Derby, Debt Management Draycott, Debt Management Draycott, Debt Management Hathersage, Debt Management Kegworth, Debt Management Lockington, Debt Management Matlock, Debt Management Mickleover, Debt Management Milford, Debt Management Osmaston Park, Debt Management Risley, Debt Management Shardlow, Debt Management South Normanton, Debt Management Swadlincote,
